Documents released by the Justice Department reveal connections between convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch, including numerous emails involving introductions to women. Tisch’s name appears at least 440 times in the initial batch of over three million pages made public on Friday.
Emails Detail Introductions and Interactions
The correspondence, spanning various topics from casual plans to more explicit exchanges, dates primarily to around 2013. One email mentions, “Jeffery says Steve Tisch might come over around 7-7:30 tonight. Snacks for everyone!” Another more profane message from Epstein asks, “did you contact the great ass fake tit [name redacted].”
In an April 21, 2013, email, Epstein arranges a meeting for Tisch with someone named Katya. She responds, “Ok, Jeffrey, I’ll be in blue loose pants and white loose shirt.” Katya adds, “I googled Steve Tisch he is oscar winner producer, and Giants owner. I’d love to meet him. My phone number is [redacted].”
A May 2013 email chain forwarded by Tisch references another woman, with Tisch writing, “Jeffrey Epstein is very excited about you and I meeting each other. I like that idea. Do you?” He proposes meeting in New York or Boston, noting, “Let me know if my schedule gives you an opportunity to get together please. Your picture is great!” Epstein replies two days later, “she is traveling. Not sure when she returns to florida. She is a micro biology major and is still in university, so i doubt she could travel during the week, but we’ll see. You should also make it clear that you will orgaznie [sic] her ticket.” Tisch later notes, “Never heard back from her. Oh well…”
Further Exchanges on Potential Connections
An April 26, 2013, email thread titled “Ukrainian Girl” shows Tisch writing to Epstein, “Hi Jeffrey I just had lunch with your assistant’s friend [name redacted] who I met at your house Wed morning Very sweet girl Do you know anything about her?” Epstein responds, “no, but i will ask … I will get all info, did you contact the great ass fake tit [redacted] shes a character short term, has an older boyfriend going to acting school, a 10 ass. I am happy to have you as a new but obviosly shared interest friend.”
Tisch replies, “Curious to know about [redacted] I will contact [redacted] … pro or civilian?” – seemingly inquiring about her profession. Epstein answers, “Do you want to know if she is sweet as she seems? Boyfriends? Trustworthy, etc. she is earnest [redacted] is a civilian but russian, and rarely tells the truth , but fun.” Epstein later suggests, “send me a number to call I dont like records of these conversations.” The next day, he updates, “Report just in, ——you did very well , she wants to go to the play,, –she is a little freaked by the age difference but go slow and wati, i will try to convince her not to return to ukraine , having her crying worked.”
Background on Steve Tisch
Steve Tisch, 76, serves as chairman, co-owner, and vice president of the New York Giants. He has also produced numerous Hollywood films, such as “Forrest Gump” and “Risky Business.” Calls to Giants headquarters on Friday went unanswered.
Epstein’s Criminal History and Network
Epstein, a wealthy financier, faced federal sex trafficking charges upon his 2019 arrest. He died in his jail cell on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial, with the coroner ruling it a suicide. He had been accused of sexually abusing underage girls. In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida to soliciting a minor for prostitution, serving 13 months of an 18-month sentence and registering as a sex offender.
Epstein maintained ties with politicians, celebrities, and executives. He began his career at Bear Stearns and later established operations in the U.S. Virgin Islands. In 1998, he purchased Little St. James island for nearly $8 million, where authorities allege he conducted sex-trafficking activities.
His associate Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted on related charges and is serving a 20-year sentence in a Texas prison.
Details of the Document Release
The Justice Department disclosed these files under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, prompted by public and political demands. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the release of about three million pages, over 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images. These include previously withheld records from a December disclosure, detailing government knowledge of Epstein’s abuse of young girls and his associations with influential figures like Donald Trump and Bill Clinton. The files are available on the department’s website.
