Gronkowski Teases Tom Brady Wrestling Cameo Amid Logan Paul Feud

Published on

Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski hints that his ex-teammate Tom Brady might step into the wrestling ring, despite the quarterback’s retirement from football in 2023. The speculation arises from Brady’s ongoing feud with WWE star Logan Paul, just ahead of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

The Brady-Paul Rivalry Heats Up

Brady sparked the conflict earlier this year by dismissing Paul’s athletic prowess as “cute” and questioning his toughness compared to football players. This occurred ahead of the Fanatics Flag Football Classic. Paul fired back, claiming he could defeat most NFL athletes in a fight, fueling intense debate. The tension escalated when both participated in the March flag football event.

Observers debate the feud’s authenticity, with some viewing it as promotional hype for a potential WrestleMania storyline involving Brady disrupting Paul’s match.

Gronkowski’s Take on a Possible Cameo

“It makes sense because Tom and Logan Paul have been beefing for about two to three months now,” Gronkowski said. “I thought they were going to fight at the flag football game, but it just didn’t come to that situation, which is good. We didn’t need any fights on that flag football field.”

He added, “It’s a friendly game, it’s a family game but I thought they would take it out here at WrestleMania, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s here, but I don’t know if he is or not.”

Gronkowski predicts Brady would excel in a brief appearance, similar to singer Jelly Roll’s dramatic table smash on ESPN’s Pat McAfee during the event. “I think he would do great,” he noted. “I don’t think he’d be like a full-time wrestler and actually have a match. I think he would have like a little cameo, kind of like Jelly Roll last night, how he dropped Pat McAfee through the announcing table, which was epic.”

Respect for Wrestling Amid Trash Talk

Gronkowski, who watched WrestleMania from his hotel room, described it as “a blast.” He envisions Brady jumping from the top rope, delivering an elbow drop, and tossing a hat like a football.

Dismissing Brady’s “cute” remark as playful banter, Gronkowski said, “Tom is just becoming a professional trash-talker now. I’m sure he respects everyone’s craft and he was just going at it with Logan Paul at the moment.”

“I respect everything that the WWE wrestlers do, the hard work that goes in,” he emphasized. “I’m sure Tom does, too. Like I said, he was just being cute with his comments but I respect everything they do—from their lifting regime to how they’ve got to prepare for the matches in the ring to being able to memorize all of their promotions and going out in the ring and talking all of the garbage in front of millions of fans.”

Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl champion with Brady, hosted Gronk Beach as the official WrestleMania afterparty in Las Vegas.
