A luxury six-bedroom home, once shared by former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan and footballer Scott Sinclair, has seen a significant price reduction following their separation. The property, located in a sought-after Lancashire village, was initially listed for £1.5 million but ultimately sold for considerably less after a series of price adjustments.

Property Sale Amidst Personal Changes

The sprawling mansion, which boasts a playroom and an expansive open-plan dressing room, was intended by the couple to be their “forever home” when they moved in approximately a year before their 13-year relationship concluded in 2022. Scott Sinclair is the sole owner of the property, which he purchased in June 2021 for £840,000.

The property first appeared on the market with an asking price of £1.5 million. However, it struggled to attract buyers, leading to an initial price drop to £1.195 million within just four weeks. Despite this adjustment and Helen Flanagan’s reported investment in renovating the three-storey residence, the market remained unresponsive.

Further Price Reductions

In an effort to facilitate a sale, the price was subsequently reduced by another £200,000. This further decrease, bringing the asking price down significantly, eventually garnered interest from potential buyers. The property eventually sold for £995,000, representing a reduction of nearly one-third from the original valuation.

According to reports, the final sale was only completed after an additional £50,000 was agreed upon as a further reduction. Land registry records indicate that the buyers are associated with a property management company.

Scott Sinclair was reportedly eager to finalize the sale, while Helen Flanagan expressed a desire to remain in the home. A friend of Flanagan’s, who was 35 at the time of the reports, stated that Sinclair felt the six-bedroom property was too large for Flanagan and their three children, especially as he would be covering the costs.

The friend indicated that Flanagan was reluctant to move, valuing the home’s suitability for the children, who were settled in their local school, and its proximity to her parents. Sinclair had reportedly offered to purchase a four-bedroom home for Flanagan, even suggesting putting it in her name, as a means to cease maintenance payments on the larger property.

Co-Parenting Dynamics

Helen Flanagan and Scott Sinclair share three children: Matilda, Delilah, and Charlie. While they are no longer in direct communication, reportedly communicating through their parents, Flanagan has spoken about their efforts to maintain a civil co-parenting relationship.

Flanagan has previously stated that while the situation is not ideal, they prioritize avoiding arguments in front of their children and ensuring they do not witness any conflict. This approach aims to shield the children from the complexities of their parents’ separation.
