Apart from the controversy, Afton is focused on training for the competition and furthering her career – specifically in music. While Afton hasn’t shied away from her ‘nepo baby’ roots, she urged that she wants to make a “positive” difference to the world with her own name attached.
She concluded: “I chose Miss England because of the beauty with a purpose initiative, that really inspired me. I really do want to make a difference in the world in a positive way somehow.
“And that’s also a huge part as to why I wanted to do Miss England because I like their ethos about that.
“I think pageants are a great avenue to work on yourself as a person both physically and mentally in many different ways because they encourage you to develop life skills that are so necessary.”
