Iron Maiden Thanks Fans, Reveals Festival Theft

Published on

Iron Maiden has extended their gratitude to fans who attended the recent Eddfest, sharing a behind-the-scenes video that offers a glimpse into the Knebworth Park event. The six-minute clip features insights from band co-founder Steve Harris and highlights various aspects of the festival experience.

Eddfest Highlights and Fan Appreciation

In accompanying remarks, the band expressed thanks to attendees, their merchandise partners, and the festival crew. However, the message also revealed a disappointing incident: Iron Maiden-branded parasols from Eddie’s Dive Bar were stolen on the opening night. The band conveyed their displeasure, stating, “Not cool, guys. Literally.”

The video captures Steve Harris exploring the festival grounds, including interactions with former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley. It also showcases segments like the “Infinite Dreams Experience” and the “Unfair Funfair,” alongside live performances and backstage footage of the band.

Harris shared his impressions of the festival setup, noting, “I walked around before the public came in. I went around and looked at all the stuff. It’s just amazing. All the museum stuff. It was just outrageous, really.” He also confirmed that he watched the performances of all the bands connected to Iron Maiden that were scheduled for the festival’s first night. This lineup featured Blaze Bayley, Stray, Gypsy’s Kiss, Maiden United 1980, Airforce, and Tony Moore’s Awake.
