Musician Jason Derulo is facing significant criticism online for a floor aquarium in his Tarzana, California home that houses a shark and a manta ray. The display, featured in a clip where Derulo shows the setup to a streamer, has ignited a firestorm of negative reactions from internet users.

Concerns Raised Over Animal Welfare

Commenters on the popular online forum Fauxmoi have expressed outrage, with many deeming the confinement of the marine life to an undersized habitat as cruel and unnecessary. Critics argue that the animals are subjected to a torturous existence for the sake of vanity and as a decorative element.

One user stated, “There is absolutely no reason to do this.” Another added, “I hate celebrities that treat animals like a shiny toy they want to show off.
