John Grimes from Jedward has infuriated producers of Celebrity Ex On The Beach by revealing a major plot twist ahead of the show’s premiere on Paramount+ today, March 31.

The Controversial Instagram Reveal

Fans now know the outcome of John’s storyline after he announced his rekindled romance with ex-girlfriend Sarah Carragher on Instagram last week. The couple reunited during filming in Tenerife, where a trailer showed them sharing a passionate kiss, leaving their future uncertain.

On Friday, John posted photos of himself and Sarah in front of Tower Bridge at the show’s launch party. He captioned the images: “Here’s to a new chapter and making memories with the best girl xxx.”

This move has spoiled the series’ mystery, rendering his arc predictable, according to insiders close to the production.

Producers’ Reaction

Sources indicate that John’s timing could not have been worse, as it undermines the suspense around cast reunions and hookups designed to draw viewers. “John posting that he’s back with his ex was terrible timing as it makes his whole storyline on the show pointless,” one insider revealed. “Cast were asked to keep a bit of mystery around who got back with their ex and who hooked up with who so people tuned in, but clearly John was so thrilled he just went ahead and posted without thinking.”

John Reflects on the Reunion

John explained that facing Sarah on the dating show helped address past relationship regrets. “It was a really good feeling because we always got along even after we weren’t together,” he stated. “She has tried dating different people and so did I, but then at the same time you don’t know all you had until they’re gone.”

He noted her effort to join him in Tenerife as significant: “I know it’s a classic saying, but then you realise that she’s come all the way out here and she’s taken time off work to be here, so that speaks volumes for me.”

John added that the experience allowed a fresh approach: “I’m sure a lot of my exes have regrets for not doing enough to keep me around, you know, I’m a keeper,” he joked. “I think going on this show dealt with those love life regrets though because it gave me the chance to be reunited with an ex and then go about it differently.”
