Jeremy Clarkson Mourns Cow Death on Farm, Confirms Season 6 Plans

Published on

Jeremy Clarkson has shared a poignant update from his farm, announcing the loss of one of his cows. In a post to his Instagram account, which boasts 9.8 million followers, he uploaded a photo of a brown and white cow resting on hay and captioned it: “Sad day on the farm. We lost another cow.” The image appeared on Saturday, January 31, drawing an outpouring of support from fans in the comments section.

Community Response and Investigation

Fans ed sympathy and admiration for Clarkson’s dedication to his animals. One commenter noted: “I know you guys all care deeply for your animals. Hopefully the amazing team around you guys will figure out what needs to be done to keep anymore from passing away.” Another added: “Sorry to hear this, farm life isn’t easy, but we really appreciate your efforts.”

When a follower speculated that the death might be due to bovine tuberculosis (TB), Clarkson clarified that it was not related to TB. He responded that he remains unsure of the exact cause and that the team is actively investigating. This incident marks another challenging period for the farm, following the loss of a pregnant cow in October carrying twins, which was attributed to TB and led to a farm lockdown.

Currently, the farm awaits further test results to pinpoint the reason behind this recent tragedy.

Updates on Clarkson’s Farm TV Series

The somber news arrives amid positive developments for the Amazon Prime series Clarkson’s Farm. Clarkson recently revealed plans to extend the show beyond its previously announced conclusion. He stated: “We’ll definitely do six – Amazon want to [do series six] and I want to. I’ve got a good idea for six.”

Earlier, Clarkson had indicated that production would end after season five, followed by a break. However, he now plans to proceed with a sixth season, driven by fresh concepts. He explained: “I said I’ll stop doing them when there are no more ideas. But I’ve got two quite good ones, so we’ll do six and then we’ll see…”

A potential delay in filming could occur due to scheduling. Clarkson mentioned that farm manager Kaleb Cooper is currently in Australia, and he himself intends to take a holiday. Unlike previous seasons, where production transitioned seamlessly from one to the next, this break may extend longer.

Season five wrapped filming in late 2025 and is slated for release in late spring 2026, though an exact date remains unconfirmed. The series continues to chronicle Clarkson’s farming adventures alongside his partner Lisa Hogan, who manages the farm shop; Kaleb Cooper; agricultural consultant ‘Cheerful’ Charlie Ireland; and builder Gerald Cooper.
