Actress Jodie Comer has captivated audiences with her striking looks and a recent photoshoot for Porter magazine, where she unveiled a more personal side. The star, known for her role in ‘Killing Eve,’ showcased a series of elegant gowns, hinting at a deeper connection to spiritual practices and self-discovery.
A Glimpse into Personal Passions
During an interview accompanying the photoshoot, Comer revealed a unique aspect of her personal life: a “little altar at home.” This sacred space, adorned with collected trinkets and stones, serves as a focal point for her wellness routines. “Sometimes I’ll do my yoga there; or I enjoy tarot, so I’ll pick a card there for the month,” the actress shared, indicating a fondness for divination and mindfulness.
Comer also shared her pride in her career trajectory, emphasizing her commitment to understanding herself beyond her acting roles. “I actually feel very content with my own [career]. I feel reluctant to say that out loud. Perhaps out of fear of appearing grandiose, but I’m very proud of my own journey,” she stated.
Herbalism and the Pursuit of Curiosity
Further elaborating on her personal growth, Comer spoke about her enrollment in a herbalism course. This academic pursuit stems from her preparation for her role as Bridget, a healer, in the upcoming film ‘The Death of Robin Hood,’ where she stars opposite Hugh Jackman.
Comer previously discussed her experience with the six-month course, noting her surprise at rediscovering her passion for learning outside of acting. “As much as I do research for a character, I don’t think I’ve really studied anything since I left school,” she remarked. “That was quite surprising to me. I was like ‘Gosh, Jodie, you have to stay curious.'”
This interest extends to her daily life, with Comer enjoying the practical application of her studies. “It’s more for myself, in my own house. I really enjoy things like making my own teas,” she explained. Her aspirations also include a more hands-on connection with nature: “My dream, and I’m manifesting this, is to have a space where I can just be in my underwear, gardening.”
Red Carpet Daring
Comer recently made a bold fashion statement at the premiere of ‘The Death of Robin Hood’ in New York. She opted for a daring, skin-tight black lace gown that showcased her figure. The backless design, paired with minimal undergarments, drew significant attention on the red carpet. She was photographed alongside co-star Hugh Jackman, who portrays the titular outlaw in the dark adaptation of the Robin Hood ballad.
