Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick Showcase Strong Blended Family Ties at Birthday Dinner
Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick demonstrated the enduring strength of their blended family connections as they celebrated his 43rd birthday with a dinner in Malibu on Friday. Disick, who shares three children with Kourtney Kardashian, joined Khloe and their close friend Malika Haqq for the festivities.
For the evening outing, Disick opted for a casual yet stylish ensemble. He wore a black bomber jacket layered over a black T-shirt and light blue jeans. White Nike Air Force Ones and a prominent gold chain completed his look. Khloe also embraced a relaxed style, donning light blue jeans paired with a black long-sleeved top and large, tinted sunglasses.
As they departed the upscale restaurant, the pair appeared to be in high spirits, walking arm-in-arm towards a waiting black SUV.
A Long-Standing Connection
Scott Disick first became unofficially integrated into the Kardashian/Jenner family circle when his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian began in 2006. Their on-again, off-again relationship continued until 2015, during which time they welcomed three children: Mason, Penelope, and Reign. The dynamics of their relationship were a prominent feature of the E! reality series, *Keeping Up With the Kardashians*.
Despite their eventual separation, Disick, who was an only child and experienced the loss of both parents in 2013 and 2014, has maintained a close relationship with Kourtney’s family. Following their breakup, Kourtney dated Algerian model Younes Bendjima from 2016 to 2018. She later became romantically involved with long-time friend and neighbor Travis Barker in 2021. The couple married in Italy in 2022 and welcomed their son, Rocky, in November 2023.
Their current blended family unit includes their young son, Kourtney’s three children from her relationship with Disick, and Travis Barker’s two children from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler – Landon and Alabama – as well as Shanna’s daughter, Atiana De La Hoya.
Reported Disagreements on Child-Rearing
In May, an informed source indicated that Scott Disick reportedly believes Kourtney Kardashian has changed and is acting irresponsibly regarding her desire to homeschool their children. Disick is said to favor them attending the family’s alma mater, Sierra Canyon School.
The source claimed that Disick strongly values hard work and views formal schooling as essential. They stated, “If they are always at home around Kourtney they will miss out on substantial knowledge and teachings that Scott feels every kid should experience.”
Disick, who himself did not complete traditional schooling, is also reportedly concerned that Kourtney’s household with Travis Barker can be chaotic. The source added that he is particularly uneasy about the influence of his 20-year-old daughter, Alabama, within that environment. It is worth noting that Khloe Kardashian holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts from the University of Arizona, making her one of the few college graduates in her immediate family.
