Lisa Snowdon, 54, captivates fans with her stunning figure in a new swimwear campaign for Bonmarché, shared on Instagram. The This Morning presenter showcases vibrant £33 two-piece sets, highlighting her confidence following a three-stone weight gain from menopause.
New Swimwear Line Highlights
Snowdon poses confidently in a bold blue striped triangle bikini top paired with high-rise bottoms. She also flaunts a colorful patterned bikini, evoking Baywatch vibes in striking red swimsuits. The collection includes a paisley one-piece and navy options, complemented by stylish cover-ups and summer co-ord sets like blue shorts with a matching shirt and red trousers.
In her post, Snowdon writes: ‘Who’s ready to jump on a plane and go?! My first swimwear drop with @bonmarche. Very proud of this one girls, each design and every detail is for us, by me, to give us comfort, support and most importantly confidence!! Which ones are your favourites?!’
Navigating Menopause and Weight Changes
Snowdon explains she didn’t notice her mid-40s three-stone gain until clothes no longer fit comfortably, as she avoided scales at home. She expresses astonishment at the discovery but now feels better than ever, crediting intermittent fasting and mindful eating for her transformation. The star embraces being ‘a bit bigger now than she was in her 20s,’ viewing it as normal.
Impact on Intimacy and Health Journey
Menopause significantly affected Snowdon’s sex life, diminishing her desire for intimacy. She describes feeling disconnected from her fiancé George Smart, with whom she has been for 11 years after reuniting in 2014. Exhaustion and hormonal shifts made sex a mental challenge, leaving her focused on daily survival.
Snowdon credits Smart’s patience during her mood swings and frustrations, noting: ‘I lashed out, and it was horrible when those sorts of rages just took over me. Thankfully, George was super understanding and never made me feel pressured. He always knew there was something else going on. He was incredible, he still is.’
Symptoms began over a decade ago with peri-menopause, including anxiety, low moods, and emotional outbursts. Misdiagnosed with depression at 42, she wept in her doctor’s office before rejecting antidepressants, trusting her instincts. In 2019, a confirmed menopause diagnosis led to hormone replacement therapy (HRT), restoring sleep, skin health, libido, and overall connection through communication and self-confidence.
