Lorna Luxe described Valentine’s Day as the ‘hardest’ yet in a poignant social media update, just three days after her husband John’s passing from adrenal cancer.

Emotional Valentine’s Tribute

The 43-year-old influencer shared a heartfelt photo of the couple kissing on Instagram. In her caption, she revealed: ‘Day 3 of no John and it’s been the hardest. I read a quote today that said, “To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides,” and I think I got to experience that.’

She also announced a temporary break from social media, adding: ‘I’m going to be a bit quiet on here, but I’m reading your messages and I’m seeing your comments and I appreciate them very much.’

John’s Battle with Cancer

John, 64 and 21 years Lorna’s senior, fought stage four adrenal cancer since his diagnosis in April 2023. The couple, married for 16 years, kept followers informed throughout his treatment. John achieved remission in November 2023, but the cancer returned in May 2024 and spread to his brain.

Last month, Lorna shared that treatment was no longer viable. Announcing his death on Thursday, she wrote: ‘My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken. We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands which is exactly what he wanted.’

She recounted their final exchange: ‘The last conversation we had I asked him how he was feeling and he replied “rough but in love” and that was so him, to the point and choosing to put aside his fears to make me feel cherished and loved.’

Lorna expressed gratitude to district nurses, especially Anna, described as a ‘real-life angel,’ and her mother for their support during John’s final days.

Previous Tributes and Support

The day before, Lorna posted an unseen video from their favorite spot, Cecconi’s Mayfair, showing John savoring cacio e pepe spaghetti. She captioned it: ‘Cecconi’s Mayfair is our place… I never shared this vid I’m not sure why, but John and cacio and pepe.’

Messages of condolence poured in from celebrities. Sophie Hinchliffe, known as Mrs Hinch, commented: ‘Lorna I am so, so sorry. My heart truly dropped reading this… Millions of us are here to help hold you up.’

Molly-Mae Hague wrote: ‘Heartbroken for you. Rest in peace John. I am so beyond sorry for your loss.’ Love Island stars Rosie Williams and Olivia Bowen also offered support.
