Married At First Sight Australia contestant Bec Zacharia delivers her most fiery critique yet of co-star Gia Fleur, accusing her of calculated sabotage following a tense dinner party confrontation.
Bec Accuses Gia of Jealousy and Setup
The 35-year-old account manager describes the Wednesday night argument as deplorable, awful, and horrific. She claims Gia, also 35, feigned friendship to undermine her relationship with husband Danny Hewitt out of jealousy over the matching process.
“I feel like I have been set up by Gia in this moment because she started off the episode saying, ‘Bec and I have a mutual hatred for Stella and Alissa,'” Bec states. “That’s just never come out of my mouth. I think Stella Mickunaite is the most incredible human being ever.”
Bec explains her friction with Alissa Fay stems from reports Gia and Scott McCristal that Alissa viewed her bond with Danny as fake. “That’s where that anger and animosity towards Alissa comes from for me,” she adds.
Response to Bombshell Claims About Danny
Bec addresses allegations from Gia and Brook Crompton that Danny called Gia “his type.” “If those girls were my friends and Danny actually said that comment, then they would have pulled me aside in a private place and said, ‘Danny said this to me,'” Bec contends.
She asserts Gia fixates on Danny excessively. “Gia is obsessed with my husband. His name has been in her mouth from the get-go. From the moment she started filming, she has spoken about him, and he hasn’t spoken about her at all.”
Bec reaffirms her trust in Danny, rejecting claims of his attraction to Gia at Bondi Icebergs. “I do not believe Danny said that. Gia speaks more about Danny than she does her own husband.” She suggests Gia’s envy arose because Danny matched her preferences, noting Gia’s early comments ranking Danny and Scott among the top husbands.
“She was setting out to destroy our relationship, knowing full well that we’d had a little bit of a rocky start. Without a doubt, that was her plan,” Bec declares. “She’s calculated. She knows exactly what she’s doing.”
Rejection of Producer Manipulation Defense
Bec dismisses Gia’s assertions that producers manipulated the attacks on Stella and Alissa. “I’m hearing Gia on the radio saying it’s an edit. This is not an edit. What happened is what happened,” she says.
“No producer can make you go in there and scream at people, and I have to take accountability as well. I did yell at Alissa. I didn’t stand up for Stella when Brook was being vile.” Bec urges Gia to own her actions.
Gia’s Real Name Exposed
In a major revelation, Bec discloses Gia’s actual name as Cassandra. “The moment I met Gia – actually, I’m gonna say Cassandra because that’s her real name. The moment I met Cassandra, I didn’t like her. I feel like I should have trusted my intuition and my gut and stayed away from her.”
Danny Hewitt echoes this in the Stan series MAFS: After The Dinner Party, referring to her as ‘Cass.’ He reflects on the dinner party without resentment. “I don’t really want to drag this thing out, to be honest. I’ve got nothing against her in a way. I don’t hold a grudge,” Danny states.
“I think my innocence has been proven, and I’ve sort of just moved on with my life. I don’t think they’re nasty people. They’re people who made mistakes that we all have in life.”
