Max B is again within the lab recording and confirms he is cooking up some new music.
On Tuesday (Nov. 18), Max spoke to Billboard for his first interview since being launched from jail. The Harlem rapper gave particulars on what’s to return so far as new songs or a mission. He additionally described what it has been like being within the studio after being away from it for 18 years.
“I really feel good,” Max shared. “It may take me a little bit second to shake the rust off. I had went to the studio yesterday and the mic was sounding too good. So, it was a little bit throwing me off a little bit bit…”
The studio periods are taking place commonly for the 47-year-old rhymer now. “So, as soon as we obtained that proper, we wind up doing like two joints or one thing, you understand what I am saying? Simply to get the texture, and we getting into there at present. I’ma wil’ out… Nevertheless it’s prepared. Ain’t gotta do a lot.”
When requested if he will drop a tape, Max assured “the music coming.” “I am within the lab. It is coming.”
Max B was launched from Northern State Jail in Newark, N.J., on Nov. 9 after serving 18 years behind bars. The rap vet was convicted of theft and homicide in reference to a 2006 robbery-turned-homicide that happened in a Fort Lee, N.J., resort room. He was remanded to jail in 2007 for the costs. In September of 2009, he was sentenced to 75 years in jail. In 2016, Max was re-sentenced by Bergen County, N.J., Choose James Guida to twenty years after he pleaded responsible to aggravated manslaughter as a part of a brand new plea deal.
