Actress Michelle Keegan has revealed her first-ever tattoos, opting for a deeply personal tribute to her beloved dogs. The star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a view of her new inkings, which feature the names ‘Pip’ and ‘Phoebe’ inscribed on the inside of each foot – the names of her two cherished canine companions.
Keegan showcased her delicate foot tattoos while sporting a pair of elegant YSL tan heels. The intimate reveal occurred at a tattoo parlour, where she was accompanied by her husband, television presenter Mark Wright. A selfie shared by Keegan showed her relaxing on a tattoo bed, with Wright visible in the background selecting his own design. She captioned the moment, “Last week was a good one.”
Family Tributes and Recent Getaways
This personal milestone follows a recent public display of affection from her husband. Mark Wright, celebrating his wife’s 39th birthday, shared a collection of cherished, previously unseen photographs. In a heartfelt post, Wright lauded Keegan, humorously noting she “didn’t look a day over 21.” His tribute spanned their 13-year relationship, including a recent family holiday snapshot featuring their 14-month-old daughter, Palma.
Wright’s message acknowledged Keegan’s impact: “It’s your day Baby. A year away from the big 4.0 but don’t look a day over 21. The couple, along with their daughter Palma and Keegan’s mother Jacqueline, embarked on a trip that included a visit to Disney World in Florida, followed by a Disney Caribbean cruise. During the lavish cruise, Keegan showcased a variety of chic outfits, and later enjoyed beach time. Young Palma was pictured meeting Mickey Mouse, dressed in equally stylish outfits, including frilled dresses and a coordinating striped swimsuit and hat.
Return to Acting and New Series
Keegan recently spoke about the experience of returning to work after becoming a mother for the first time. She took a hiatus from acting following the birth of her daughter in March 2025 and is now set to star in the new ITV series, ‘The Blame’.
Sharing glimpses of her week on social media, Keegan also posted a striking mirror selfie in a daring black backless dress, paired with flip-flops. Another photo captured her smiling in a dressing gown alongside her glam squad during a photoshoot.
Speaking at an ITV showcase event, Keegan described her return to the set as “daunting.” However, she highlighted the supportive environment: “But the production were so supportive and I was so looked after and it was like working with family.” She noted a strong immediate chemistry with co-star Douglas Booth, with whom she bonded over quizzes and shared meals.

‘The Blame’ is a six-part drama series that centers on DI Crane (Keegan) and DI Radley (Booth) as they investigate the discovery of a teenage figure skater’s body. The series delves into a complex narrative of lies, institutional cover-ups, and moral compromises within the community of Wakestead. As the investigation progresses, Crane must navigate internal team politics while racing against time to uncover the truth.
The couple enlisted the expertise of event planners Luxe Events And Parties for their daughter’s milestone birthday celebration. Reflecting on her daughter’s first year, Keegan expressed a common parental sentiment, asking followers, “Can I ask where the past year’s gone please?”
