Chloe Pink, wife of North Melbourne defender Toby Pink, has reached her breaking point amid relentless online harassment from trolls questioning her ability to conceive.
On Monday, she shared screenshots of the abusive messages on Instagram, highlighting the exhaustion caused by the constant attacks. She expressed particular dismay at users liking the insults.
“This is a snippet of hate I’ve received… it is relentless and exhausting,” Pink wrote in her final Instagram story. “If this is you, or someone you know or even you (personally) liking these comments, you need to deeply reflect.”
Addressing the trolls directly, she questioned their behavior: “How can you be this cruel? How can you think any of this is OK?”
Outrage Over Weight and Fertility Links
Pink vented frustration at comments tying her weight to fertility challenges. “I swear to god, if I get one more comment about my weight in terms of fertility, I’m going to lose my s*it,” she stated. “It is beyond insensitive. It is cruel, invasive and deeply hurtful. I cannot understand why so many of you are threatened by the fact my husband and I love each other.”
History of Body Shaming
Pink has faced similar vitriol before. In April 2025, after posting photos from her March wedding, trolls unleashed insults like “Did he marry a fridge?” “AFL player by day, pig hunter by night,” and “Did he marry an NRL prop forward?”
Abuse also followed North Melbourne’s Best and Fairest Awards night. The comments devastated Pink emotionally and shocked her husband.
“He really was in shock,” she shared. “People say bad things about footballers, but they talk about how they play, not their appearances. We both sat there and cried.”
Toby has remained supportive, affirming his love and praising her beauty. The couple eventually disabled comments after deleting the vile posts.
Pink emphasized personal boundaries: “All because I don’t fit the typical ‘WAG mould.’ Being married to a professional athlete does not give anyone the right to comment on my body or size.”
She attributes her weight to underlying health conditions but stresses it is private and irrelevant.
