Schools throughout Nova Scotia remain closed today as cleanup crews tackle the aftermath of a heavy snowfall. A low-pressure system passed south of the province from Wednesday into Thursday, dumping up to 25 centimetres of snow in various areas.

Environment Canada reports that snowfall persists in northern and western regions today, with yellow snowfall warnings still active.
