Hollywood actor Patrick Muldoon, celebrated for his iconic roles in Days of Our Lives, Melrose Place, and the sci-fi hit Starship Troopers, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 19, at age 57. Officials confirm the cause of death as a heart attack.
Early Breakthroughs
Muldoon launched his acting career during high school with a two-episode guest spot on the hit sitcom Who’s the Boss?. After graduating in 1991, he secured a recurring role on the teen series Saved by the Bell, marking the start of his rapid rise in television.
Signature Soap Opera Roles
A year later, Muldoon originated the character of Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives, portraying the role from 1992 to 1995 and returning for another stint from 2011 to 2012. He also gained notoriety as the scheming Richard Hart on Melrose Place, appearing across seasons three through five.
