Patti Hansen Turns 70: Keith Richards and Family Share Tributes

Supermodel Patti Hansen marked her 70th birthday on Tuesday with an outpouring of heartfelt tributes from her family, highlighting her enduring legacy in fashion and beyond.

Touching Social Media Celebrations

Keith Richards, Patti’s husband of 42 years and Rolling Stones guitarist, posted throwback photos of the couple on Instagram. “Happy birthday, Patricia. Yours forever!! All my love, Keith,” the 82-year-old captioned the images.

Their daughter Alexandra also honored her mother with a warm message: “Happy Happy 70th Birthday to our lucky charm today! We love you so much, can’t wait to celebrate you!” She included a video montage featuring Patti’s iconic Vogue covers alongside family photos and clips. Keith commented on the post, “Hot in every decade.”

A Lasting Love Story

The couple first met in 1979 at Studio 54 when Patti was 23 and Keith neared his 36th birthday. They married in 1983 and welcomed daughters Theodora, now 40, and Alexandra, 39.

Their marriage stands as one of the most resilient in entertainment. Patti Hansen stated, “Any marriage, Rolling Stone or not, there’s definitely going to be some rocky mountains there. We have had our trials; that’s for sure. But on the whole, it’s great. We both have the same morals and background. We both come from working-class families. I think we are very similar in many ways.”

From Runways to Resilience

Patti built a stellar modeling career before transitioning to film, appearing alongside Audrey Hepburn and Rick Springfield. In the mid-2000s, she overcame breast cancer diagnosed in 2005 and bladder cancer in 2007 through chemotherapy.

“The chemo is really horrible,” she shared. “I don’t know how people get through it. I have friends who are on that wicked stuff for life. It’s so debilitating, so depressing. The first shot just totally ruined my arm. You have to go get yourself plugged in every week, and you sit there, and you think, ‘My God, I take such good care of myself. I’m so organic. I can’t believe I’m putting this poison in me.’ But it shrank the tumor.”

Today, Patti prioritizes her health, drawing skincare tips from her daughters. “After years of being in this business, you’re so aware of every little thing, every line, every mole. I try to keep a healthy focus,” she said. “Every morning I look in the mirror and say, ‘Oh, you could lift up here.’ At 60, I finally decided to take really good care of myself. I’ve done Fraxel [laser treatments] for all the sun damage. My daughters are in their 30s, and they do facials and have all the creams. I never did any of that. Now I do. Now I’m learning from them.”
