Model Poppy Delevingne, 40, is confidently embracing her postpartum physique, sharing that pregnancy has granted her a liberating “freedom” from the pressure to maintain a “skinny” appearance. She welcomed her daughter, Kaia Moon, in May 2025 with partner Archie Keswick.
A Shift in Perspective
Delevingne revealed that her pregnancy marked the first time in her adult life she fully indulged her food cravings and opted out of her regular workout routine, a significant departure after two decades of modeling for high-profile brands like Burberry and Louis Vuitton. “The norm when I was modeling was just to be skinny,” she explained. “I was always aware of what I ate and suddenly it was such a joy to be like, I don’t have to go to the gym.”
Her initial craving was cake, a treat she enjoyed daily throughout her pregnancy. “My first craving was cake and I ate cake every single day for the duration of my pregnancy and I loved the freedom of being able to do that,” she gushed.
Embracing New Curves
Far from aiming to “snap back” to her pre-pregnancy body, Delevingne is cherishing the changes. “Now I’ve got this big bum, these mammoth boobs and I don’t want to lose them. I’ve got a whole new body. I feel really sexy,” she told The Sunday Times Style magazine.
Relationship Milestones and Pregnancy Discovery
Poppy and Archie Keswick made their relationship public in July 2024 at the BST Hyde Park festival, having met at a mutual friend’s wedding in October 2023. By January 2025, they were expecting their child. Delevingne shared that only a year prior, following her divorce from ex James Cook at age 37, she had come to terms with the idea of not becoming a mother.
The discovery of her pregnancy occurred during London Fashion Week. While attending a fitting for a Burberry show, she noticed her clothes felt tighter than usual. A subsequent pregnancy test confirmed she was expecting a daughter. The couple kept the news private for a period, sharing it with friends and family around the four-month mark.
