Pregnant Singer Ellie Goulding Ends Management Partnership
Ellie Goulding, the 39-year-old award-winning pop star, has parted ways with her management company as she prepares for a significant musical return while awaiting the birth of her second child with boyfriend Beau Minniear.
The singer, who shares a four-year-old son named Arthur with her ex-husband Caspar Jopling, is developing her sixth studio album. This project draws heavily from her brief marriage to the 34-year-old art dealer, marking a personal and creative evolution following their separation.
Album Inspired by Personal Turmoil
Goulding’s upcoming untitled album follows her 2023 release, Higher Than Heaven. She joined her previous management firm in 2018, aligning with high-profile artists like Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey. The split from the company occurred late last year amid a strategic overhaul.
Those close to the artist emphasize her focus on family priorities, with the new baby expected in the coming weeks. They describe her as a powerhouse talent and one of the UK’s most distinctive voices, deserving of top-tier global support.
In a recent interview with NYLON, Goulding shared insights into the album’s origins. “It had always been the goal to start this album,” she explained. “I didn’t know it was going to be a divorce album, but that’s the way it started heading.”
The couple wed in 2019 at the historic York Minster, a Grade I listed site. Reflecting on the union, Goulding noted, “When I married my ex-husband, I thought it was for life. That will never go away.” She added that certain tracks honor that chapter respectfully, while others capture raw, immediate emotions that may not endure long-term.
Creative Challenges During Separation
The end of her marriage influenced her work even before recording began. Goulding disclosed that she informed her producer, Jack Antonoff, about the split on the very day they first met. “I knew that my marriage wasn’t working out; it was dark times,” she recalled. “The day I met Jack was the day I was like, ‘Jack, I should be candid with you. Today, my husband and I decided we’re going to separate.'”
Despite the intimate themes, Goulding reports strong backing from her team and circle. Even Jopling appreciates the material so far, though he has not reviewed the full collection. “My label, my friends—everyone’s behind it,” she said. “And even my ex-husband loves the songs… well, he hasn’t heard all the songs.”
Life Updates and New Romance
Goulding announced her pregnancy with a prominent appearance at the Fashion Awards in early December, showcasing her baby bump on the red carpet.
Her relationship with Minniear became public in September 2025. The couple vacationed in Italy, where Minniear posted a candid photo of Goulding in a hotel room. He also features in several scenes from her recent music video for “Destiny.”
Meanwhile, Jopling has been linked to director Olivia Wilde. At the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, Wilde shared Instagram photos hinting at a new romance. One image showed her embracing a man—later identified as Jopling—with her eyes closed in contentment, his face cropped out for privacy.
Us Weekly confirmed the connection, following rumors sparked by their October outing in London. Wilde’s post, shared over three years after her split from Harry Styles, referenced her projects: the erotic comedy thriller I Want Your Sex, which premiered at the festival on January 23, and The Invite. The caption read: “I Want Your Sex & The Invite Park City 4vrrrr.”
