A Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight en route from Copenhagen to Dublin declared a general emergency while flying over the UK. The crew of flight SK537 activated the Squawk 7700 signal at 11:36 a.m. GMT on Wednesday due to a medical emergency on board.

The Airbus A320neo took off from Copenhagen Airport at 10:45 a.m. CET (9:45 a.m. GMT) and neared the end of its two-hour journey. Flight-tracking data shows the aircraft cruising at 38,000 feet between southwest Scotland and eastern Northern Ireland in the Scottish Flight Information Region.
Air traffic control granted immediate landing priority, with emergency medical teams standing by at the airport. Officials believe a passenger experienced the medical issue. SAS has not yet commented on the individual’s condition.

The flight later departed at 12:20 p.m. and reached Porto at 2:22 p.m. GMT, delayed from its 11:30 a.m. schedule.
