Christine Quinn’s estranged husband, Christian Dumontet, reveals he spends $27,000 each month maintaining a vacant Los Angeles mansion they once shared. He seeks sole legal ownership to sell the property and halt mounting financial losses.
Court Filing Details Financial Strain
Dumontet, 47, filed court documents in Los Angeles outlining his request for exclusive control of the home. He purchased the residence as an investment in 2019, shortly before marrying the 37-year-old Selling Sunset star. The property carries a $3.5 million mortgage, with additional costs for rent, security, and upkeep draining his resources.
“This is not sustainable,” Dumontet stated in the filing. “I require immediate court intervention to stop this financial hemorrhaging.” He aims to sell the non-income-producing asset as quickly as possible to eliminate ongoing expenses.
Background on the Couple’s Separation
The former couple, parents to four-year-old son Christian, separated in March 2024 amid allegations of domestic violence. Quinn secured a temporary restraining order, resulting in Dumontet’s arrests on consecutive occasions.
Dumontet explained that personal turmoil prevented him from managing the property effectively at the time. Once permitted to return, he invested heavily in repairs and renovations. Quinn has not resided there since September 2025 and made no financial contributions toward the purchase, mortgage, or maintenance, according to the documents.
Dumontet now lives in France with his girlfriend and their one-year-old son. He emphasized that he alone bears the financial burden. The court denied his emergency order request.
Quinn’s Move to Texas
Quinn relocated to her native Texas following the split. She expressed gratitude for the proximity to family, noting in an interview, “I have a sister who lives really close to me, and my son has a cousin. I found a wonderful house.” She described the home as about 60 percent complete, with plans to enhance its interior design.
