Developer Bun Muen announced this week that Shift at Midnight is now slated for release in the latter half of July. This adjustment comes after the game’s official social media channels had previously suggested an unlock date of June 17, coinciding with other Game Pass additions.
In a statement shared via Steam, the development team explained the necessity for the postponement. “Put away those party hats, folks: Shift at Midnight is being delayed again,” the team communicated. “We’re now targeting the second half of July. We’re confident about this window, but we want to be absolutely sure before we commit to a specific date again (for obvious reasons).”
The developers emphasized that the delay is due to external teams requiring additional time to finalize the game. “We promise that there isn’t anything sinister going on, the external teams just need a bit more time. They are cooking and giving Shift the final attention it needs and deserves. It is so close, but it needs one final push to make it the absolute best it can be for all players.”

Despite the delay, the development team also shared positive news regarding the game’s pricing. The price for Shift at Midnight has been set at $9.99, and a launch discount will be available for players at release.
