Sky TV customers face a significant channel update starting February 24, with Sky One making a comeback after five years off air while Sky Showcase and Sky Max cease operations.
Sky One Revival Brings Fresh Entertainment
Sky One relaunches on channel 106, offering a diverse lineup of comedy and entertainment programs. Viewers can expect new series such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby. Returning favorites include Rob & Romesh Vs…, The Paper, and Ted. The channel will also host Saturday Night Live UK, set to debut later this year.
Sky Showcase and Sky Max to Shut Down
To streamline content, Sky Showcase and Sky Max will close permanently this week. Their programs shift to the revitalized Sky One, creating a centralized hub for popular shows.
“Our goal is to make it easier than ever for Sky TV customers to discover and enjoy the shows they love,” stated Carli Kerr, Managing Director of Sky TV & NOW. “Building on the iconic heritage of Sky One, the channel will be a bold and energetic destination, combining brand-new Sky Originals with returning favourites and highly anticipated shows like Saturday Night Live UK.”
