Sofia Vergara’s Heartwarming Reunion
Sofia Vergara, the 53-year-old actress known for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the long-running ABC series Modern Family, recently shared delightful selfies from a casual gathering with former co-stars Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. The images, posted on her Instagram account on Friday, capture the trio smiling warmly, joined by Ferguson’s husband, Justin Mikita, recognized for his appearance in Taylor Swift’s ‘You Need to Calm Down’ music video.
Vergara opted for a chic, form-fitting brown knit dress paired with a matching leather jacket for the relaxed meetup. Her straight, middle-parted hair fell effortlessly past her shoulders, complemented by subtle accessories like small earrings and statement rings. Her makeup featured volumized lashes with mascara, smoky eye shadow, a touch of blush for radiance, and a nude lip shade for a polished finish. In an Instagram Story mirror selfie, she showcased her complete look while holding a tan clutch.
Roles and Shared History
Bowen portrayed Claire Dunphy, and Ferguson played Mitchell Pritchett in Modern Family, which spanned 11 seasons until its conclusion in 2020. This isn’t the first time these stars have connected post-series. In 2023, Vergara hosted Bowen, Ferguson, and Mikita at her mansion for a private get-together. Later that year, she organized a larger reunion including Rico Rodriguez, Ed O’Neill, Nolan Gould, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Eric Stonestreet. Ty Burrell was absent but honored through a framed photo of himself at the event.
Reflecting on the cast’s bond five years after the finale, Vergara shared with E! News, ‘We are still like a family. Everything we do, we are connected in a gigantic chat with all the kids and all the actors. And we’re always watching each other, supporting each other.’ She also noted to People how the group initially felt disconnected after filming ended, explaining, ‘We kind of got separated because we finished, and two weeks later, they closed everything for COVID. We got disconnected really fast.’
Recent Ventures and Appearances
Vergara has stayed active in her career, recently teaming up with Octavia Spencer for the Detect the SOS campaign, a public health initiative promoting uACR urine tests as part of screenings for chronic kidney disease in people with high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. The campaign aims to identify hidden risks for heart attacks or strokes. An ad featuring the duo will air during Super Bowl LX on February 8. Spencer emphasized the importance of early detection, stating to People, ‘Your body could be sending out an SOS if your kidneys are malfunctioning and you wanna answer the call. And while that sounds like it’s scary, the way to detect it is easy.’
Just last week, Vergara turned heads at the premiere of Paris Hilton’s documentary Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir, wearing a sleek strapless leather dress that accentuated her figure. Her wavy, middle-parted dark hair cascaded down her back. At the event, she mingled with guests including model and former America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum, sharing a fun moment munching popcorn side by side in the theater, as captured in her social media posts.
