Sophia Umansky, the 26-year-old daughter of Kyle Richards, recently underwent a breast lift procedure to address sagging caused by weight fluctuations from using Mounjaro, a popular FDA-approved drug for type 2 diabetes often used for weight loss.
Sharing the Journey on TikTok
Sophia documented her experience through a series of TikTok videos, openly discussing her decision. “I’m just getting a lift. I’m not getting any implants or anything,” she told followers. She explained that after more than a year on Mounjaro, she experienced rapid initial weight loss followed by some regain, now stabilizing at a balanced weight. However, the fluctuations left her chest area sagging lower than desired.
“Other than my weight fluctuating, my girls are not sitting where I want them to be sitting, they’re like hanging real low and I want them to be like, up,” she demonstrated visually in one clip.
Surgeon and Family Support
The procedure took place at the office of board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Steven Teitelbaum in Santa Monica, California. Dr. Teitelbaum previously performed a breast reduction on Kyle Richards in 2022, earning her trust. Richards supported her daughter’s choice, staying close during preparations and stating, “I would not trust anyone else to do the surgery on my child.”
Sophia detailed the plan: the surgeon removed fat from her hips to add volume on top of her breasts, avoiding implants. “Just to be clear, I don’t have any issue with my hips but he said there was enough fat in there that he was able to take a little bit out just so my boobs could have some more volume at the top,” she shared. “I trust Dr. Teitelbaum with my life so whatever he says I will do.”
Additional Cosmetic Procedure
In addition to the breast lift, Sophia opted for a lip blushing treatment, a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that enhances lip color and shape. “I heard that they like scab and peel, so I’m going to be like bandaged up and have like scabbed, peeled lips,” she noted. She expressed excitement, adding, “I know getting this done will make me so much more confident in my body and that’s always the goal obviously.”
Background and Public Reaction
Previously a staffer at her father Mauricio Umansky’s real estate firm, The Agency, Sophia transitioned to full-time social media influencing and content creation by mid-2025. While many supported her transparency, some online comments criticized the surgery, calling it “insane and sad” or insisting she was already “gorgeous” without it.
Sophia has firmly defended her use of Mounjaro against detractors, stating, “People who are telling me that I don’t need to be on it, they don’t know what they’re talking about. They’re not doctors. And I think everyone needs to calm down and live their own lives. And honesty will get you far in life and lying is not fun. It’s not good.”
