Blackburn Rovers legend Tony Parkes has passed away at the age of 76. Known as ‘Mr Blackburn Rovers,’ he coached the team during their historic 1994-95 Premier League title win under Kenny Dalglish. Parkes also featured in more than 400 matches for the club as a midfielder.
Club Pays Tribute
The club shared heartfelt condolences, stating: “Everyone at Blackburn Rovers sends their deepest heartfelt condolences to Tony’s daughter Natalie and all his family and friends at this incredibly sad time.”
A special tribute will honor Tony’s life and his remarkable contributions to the club’s history. It takes place at Rovers’ final home game of the season against Leicester City on Saturday, May 2nd.
