During a phone interview on Saturday, Trump expressed doubt about Khamenei’s survival. The remarks came after the 56-year-old leader failed to appear on camera Thursday for his anticipated first address as supreme leader.

“I don’t know if he’s even alive. So far, nobody’s been able to show him,” Trump stated. “I’m hearing he’s not alive, and if he is, he should do something very smart for his country, and that’s surrender.”

Reports of Severe Injuries from Tehran

Sources in Tehran report that Khamenei suffered at least one lost leg and serious abdominal or liver damage in an alleged strike attributed to the US or Israel. He is reportedly receiving treatment at Sina University Hospital in the city’s historic district, where the area remains cordoned off and under heavy security.
