Fatal Parking Lot Collision Under Investigation
A pedestrian died Monday morning after being struck by a snowplow in a commercial parking lot in Truro, Nova Scotia. The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. near a Queen Street automotive dealership.

Emergency responders transported the 54-year-old woman to hospital following the collision, where she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities confirmed the snow removal equipment involved was operated by a private contractor.

Police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident. When questioned about potential criminal charges, Truro Police Chief Dave MacNeil emphasized that the inquiry remains in preliminary stages.
“We’re examining all aspects of this incident,” MacNeil stated, indicating no immediate conclusions would be drawn. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to determine contributing factors.
