City-Wide Manhunt Underway for Alleged Offender
Authorities in Windsor have launched an intensive search for 39-year-old Matthew Lewis Rivest, who faces multiple charges related to the alleged sexual assault of a minor. The city’s Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) unit has issued an arrest warrant containing serious charges including sexual assault, sexual interference, assault, and forcible confinement involving a young victim.
Multiple Charges Across Separate Cases
Court documents reveal Rivest also faces three counts of criminal harassment in connection with a separate investigation. After extensive efforts to locate the suspect proved unsuccessful, authorities are now appealing for public assistance.
“Investigators believe the individual may have traveled to Saskatchewan,” officials stated in their latest bulletin. “We urge anyone with information to come forward immediately.”
National Alert Issued
Law enforcement agencies across Canada have been notified about the active warrant. Rivest is considered potentially dangerous and members of the public are advised not to approach him.
Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers or directly to Windsor’s specialized CASA investigative unit. Authorities emphasize that all information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could prove vital to the investigation.
