A 17-year-old pedestrian lost her life in a collision involving three cars on the A4042 in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, at around 12:25 p.m. on Thursday. Demi Edmunds, from nearby Caldicot, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Demi’s brother, Jake, described her as the ideal sister. “Demi was the best sister I could’ve ever asked for,” he stated. “She was funny, kind, and caring. We were very close—she was like a best friend I could trust with anything. But she’s no longer with us. Hopefully, she’s in heaven, somewhere better.”
