Europe’s premier Transylvanian festival, Electric Castle, returns with its most expansive lineup for 2026. Recently honored as International Festival of the Year at the UK Festival Awards 2025, the event unfolds over four days from July 16-19 at the picturesque Bánffy Castle in Romania. Attendees anticipate nonstop music across 24 hours, along with surprises and immersive experiences on 10 stages featuring over 200 artists.
Star-Studded Headliners and Performers
The Cure makes its debut at the castle with their signature alternative rock sound. Grammy winners Twenty One Pilots deliver high-octane, genre-mixing sets. Teddy Swims brings soulful energy, while Chase & Status unleashes a dynamic drum & bass DJ performance.
Nothing But Thieves rocks the stages with anthemic tracks, and Wet Leg debuts in Romania. Kneecap and Sleaford Mods offer intense, provocative sets blending rap and punk. Dogstar, featuring Hollywood icon Keanu Reeves on bass, appeals to alt-rock enthusiasts. Additional acts include Yung Lean & Bladee, Maverick Sabre, Eliza Rose, SG Lewis, Wilkinson, Skream & Benga, LP, Subtronics, Balu Brigada, Kilimanjaro, and House of Protection.
Electronic music lovers can enjoy techno from ANNA, house by Kölsch, and sets from Brazilian DJ Mochakk, among others spanning rock, indie, hip-hop, and bass.
Beyond the Music: Immersive Experiences
The festival extends far beyond tunes, offering hot air balloon rides, secluded forest spots, lakeside relaxation areas, film screenings, EC Talks discussions, and fashion markets. The historic grounds evolve into a lively playground suitable for all ages.

Rock in Rio Lisbon 2026 Final Headliners Revealed
Rock in Rio Lisbon announces its closing day stars for the 2026 edition on June 28, spotlighting 21 Savage, Central Cee, and Rema. This finale highlights global rap and Afrobeats influences, marking 21 Savage’s Portugal debut with career-spanning hits. Central Cee rises from London streets to worldwide acclaim, and Rema drives the Afrobeats surge with tracks like Calm Down.
Supporting performers include Matuê, Filipe Ret, DENNIS, Irina Barros, Carião, and Lola Índigo, celebrating hip-hop, trap, funk, and Afropop.
Festival organizer Roberta Medina noted the lineup reflects “the dominant musical language among younger generations around the world.” The 11th edition spans two weekends, June 20-21 and June 27-28, with confirmed acts like Linkin Park, Katy Perry, and Rod Stewart.
