Last week, the Duke and Duchess of Westminster visited Chester FC Community Trust to learn about the King George V Sports Hub’s impact on grassroots football and local communities in Chester. The Duke’s Westminster Foundation supports the initiative with a £520,000 donation.

The Duke and Duchess, Olivia and Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, wed on June 7, 2024. Hugh inherited his title and the vast Grosvenor estate—valued at £10.6 billion, encompassing 300 acres in London’s Mayfair and Belgravia—from his father in 2016. Their wedding featured a lavish celebration.

Chelsea-based designer Emma Victoria Payne crafted the bride’s gown from ivory silk crepe, satin, and organza, adorned with bespoke embroidery. The dress boasted a scalloped-edge neckline, bias-cut skirt, pleated waistband, gathered sleeves for a sleek silhouette, wide embroidered silk organza cuffs, a keyhole back, and a detachable 6.5-foot silk crepe satin train.

Emma Victoria Payne shared, “I was so honoured to be part of their special day. A gust of wind took us by surprise and added to the atmosphere. It was an incredible day, and it was amazing to see Olivia’s stunning entrance.”

She added that Olivia incorporated her great-great-grandmother’s veil from around 1880. “We hand-picked the elements we loved the most, then took photos to document them and produced hand-drawn sketches of each motif,” Payne explained.
