Kimberley Garner was recently photographed enjoying the sun and sea in Ibiza, modeling a vibrant yellow bikini from her own swimwear collection. The 35-year-old designer showcased her toned physique while relaxing on the beach and taking a dip in the Mediterranean.
A Designer’s Beach Day
Garner, known for her successful swimwear line, appeared relaxed and happy as she spent time on the beach. Her blonde hair was slicked back from her face, and she was seen laughing with a friend on a jetty. The outing highlighted her dedication to her brand, as she confidently wore one of her own designs, demonstrating the appeal of her collection.
The Evolution of Sunday Swimwear
Garner’s journey in the fashion industry began with the launch of her swimwear line, Sunday Swimwear, in 2013. This venture followed her appearance on the third season of the reality television show ‘Made In Chelsea.’ Over the years, her brand has seen significant growth and success.
Overcoming Early Doubts
Despite her current success, Garner has spoken about the challenges she faced when starting her first business at the age of 18. She recounted how, due to her youth and perceived lack of authority, she had to pretend to be an intern to be taken seriously by others in the business world. She explained that she learned the intricacies of company registration and business operations independently.
Garner stated, “I think people sometimes think that I’m only the face, but I am responsible for every bit of the business.” She detailed her early experiences, “I was 18 when I started my first company – I came up with an idea, stayed up for days learning how to register the company and teaching myself. It became very successful overnight.”
She further elaborated on the initial skepticism she encountered: “However, as I was only 18, no one ever imagined it was mine. I was a young blonde girl with a soft voice. No one would take me seriously or realise it was my company. So, I pretended to be the intern!” Garner managed all aspects of the company, including meetings, calls, and emails. The profits from this initial success were reinvested into launching what would become Kimberley London.
Brand Expansion and Personal Life
In February, Garner shared that she had entered a new romantic relationship. She posted a video of herself sharing a kiss with a new partner on a beach in the Maldives. While she has not publicly identified her new boyfriend, she revealed that he has played a role in inspiring her swimwear brand, which has recently expanded to include a menswear line.
Garner, who previously dated trader William Claeyssens de Tena, commented on her new relationship: “I am in a new relationship but it’s early days. We met through friends over the summer [last year] and we started dating three months ago.”
She also noted the positive influence her new partner has had on her life and her brand. The rebranded unisex label, now known simply as Sunday, incorporates designs inspired by this new relationship. Garner described the concept as “like a his-and-her concept. It’s a cute, fun thing to do. My boyfriend loves wearing the designs.” This personal development seems to be reflected in the evolving aesthetic and offerings of her swimwear line.
Garner’s Continued Success
Kimberley Garner’s career trajectory, from reality television personality to successful swimwear designer, demonstrates her entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. Her recent appearance in Ibiza, showcasing her own brand, underscores her continued commitment to her fashion ventures and her role as the face and driving force behind Sunday.
