A driver was killed instantly when a 130kg window pane fell from a luxury London apartment building, an inquest at Inner London Crown Court has been told. The incident, which occurred at 10:40 am, saw the large glass panel plummet approximately 300 feet onto the street below, fatally striking the driver, Mr. Ferris, as he returned to his coach parked opposite the development. The court heard that the tragedy might have been averted had lessons been learned from a previous, similar incident at the same building.
