Path to Victory
The 41-year-old Welsh number two overcame Dave Chisnall, Chris Dobey, Martin Schindler, and Wessel Nijman en route to the final. Price sealed the win with a precise 14-dart hold.
Price Reflects on the Match
“I’ve been in the PDC for 12 years now, so less than one a year on average isn’t very good,” Price joked after his victory.
He described the final’s twists: “I was 3-0 up, then 4-3 down, and Ross started smashing the trebles in for fun. I was hanging on and hoping I got more opportunities, and I did.”
Price, who lost in the final during his only other European Tour appearance this year, added, “I was just struggling to get over the winning line. Thankfully I won this one, and hopefully it will give me a bit of confidence going forward.”
Michael van Gerwen remains the only other player to reach double figures in European Tour trophies.
